Many people don’t realize how important support is with their hosting company, until the worst happens, their site is not working or offline. Quickly they find out just how hard it is to get a response, or how long the lag is.

What type of support does your current host provide? Do they have a support telephone number? A responsive ticket system? Live Chat? Instant Messenger support?

What if your site was down? How quickly could you get it fixed?

I recently learned a lesson, thats why they are no longer my hosting company. At first they had a ticket system and live chat room, even a telephone number. Over time it came down to a ticket system that often left me hanging and a phone number that was just a recording. Guess how quickly I got my problems solved?

I don’t enjoy moving my websites and all those pages (hundreds or more), including a growing number of databases, actually it’s one of my least favorite tasks, often I have put it off. But when it comes down to your income, can you afford not to have good support?

My current host atci hosting has 24/7 support with a toll free phone number, ticket system and live support chat. Not to mention a rep on my ICQ that responds quite quickly. I would’nt have it any other way, I’ve learned the hard way, I don’t want to see you learn with lost income.

You might say it’s common sense, but many people in their hast or newness, don’t give it enough thought. Only after “something” happens to their site. After all, you would’nt need support until there was a problem.
