I couldn’t tell you for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

I recently joined his site called Standing Start Profits (say that three times fast), and I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve hooked up with other membership sites in the past and I’ve usually been disappointed. So many make the big promises that they don’t keep.

When I first read about Lee’s site, to be honest, I was kind of Leary. Like I said, I’ve been there done that. One reason I wasn’t to sure about the deal was the fact that he talked about having a active forum with experts and everything. Last site I joined that was suppose to have an active forum, it was less than active and the marketer seemed to busy to even answer questions or keep up with his members.

I understand we are all busy, just don’t make promises your not going to keep.

This is not so with Lee’s site. I have to say I was shocked, the forum alone is more then active and folks are getting answers. Here’s a small snapshot of the forum, part of it that is:

Of course the forum is just a small part of the site. Lee also put up some outstanding videos that are all about content with no fluff. I haven’t finished them all yet, but I have to say they are more then good.

I don’t recommend a product to often, namely because I don’t see that many that qualify as out standing. Standing Start Profits is one of those rare gems.

That the old saying… “Money is the Root of all Evil” .. is not true.

The Truth is .. “The Lack of Money is the Root of all Evil”.

It does kind of make sense if you think about it. It’s safe to say people rob banks because they need money, other wise why would they? More…People rob convenience stores because they need money.

Of course it’s a funny quip from Gene, what makes Gene, well.. Gene.

Naturally not every one feels the need to steal, cheat and rob to grab their loot, though the news would have you think differently. Although the lack of money can be the cause of many problems. It’s sad that so many family problems actually stem from lack of cash.

Many would say money is not everything and we should live our lives instead of money or letting money control us in such ways. Although I agree somewhat, last I checked it’s pretty tough to live without money, unless you want to live on the street, not knowing where your next meal will come from. Money drama aside, the electric bill still has to be paid, the gas company only waits so long before they shut you off and the landlord will kick you and your “stuff” to the curb if you don’t pay the bills.

I agree money isn’t everything but as Anthony Robbins said “At least you can show up to your problems ins Style”.

Am I going anywhere with this post? Sure I am… always right?

It’s a fact of life you can’t live without money, unless your still at home with mom and dad. Instead of letting the lack of cash get you down, cause fights with your spouse over bills or make you miserable, use that same “problem” as motivation to do something about your financial situation.

It’s exactly what I did. I got myself to the point that I was so tired of not making enough money. So sick and tired of only getting paid a hourly wage. Using it all to drive me to make it work, no matter what. It was a huge turning point over 9 years ago.

I hate to quote the same person in one sitting but you could also go by what else Anthony Robbins talks about with pain and pleasure. Basically he states that we do more to avoid pain then we do to gain pleasure. In this instance we will usually work harder to avoid the possible or percieved pain of starting our own business ( possible failure probably the biggest reason), than the pleasure of the extra money we could make, if we did go for the gold.

Make sense? I sure hope it does to you. It took me many years to see the light. There is another slight twist. There could come a time when so much pain, as in the lack of money and what comes with it, becomes enough to over power the brain and the opposite comes to light.
Okay, Okay I guess I should also confess, Gene really didn’t talk to me personally, though I do love his show. And oddly I do like his quote…:)

There was a recent post on the blog from a reader saying they have the basics and asked what was next? I noticed her site was website design and graphic design. It seems so often we limit ourselves as to what is next or what is possible. Not saying this person was limiting themselves in any way, I don’t even know her or her plans. The reason for this post is I started thinking about her niche and what could be possible. It could be she already has the ideas, but here’s a few thoughts I had:

As I said, she could very well already have this and more in mind. My point is that we shouldn’t limit ourselves and open our minds to create a complete back end. Get customers into your sales funnel and profit for a long time to come.

Once again it seems there is yet another round of high ticket money making products being pushed by every one. I’ve been working on the internet since 1998, I’ve seen so many things, but I have yet to find a way of making money for doing nothing. I get so tired of all the marketers trying to sell the masses on making it big without doing anything, and usually paying a big price for the secret.

No matter how it’s spelled out, explained or presented, there is and always will be one major factor lacking in any incoming producing product. There can be video’s explaining everything in complete, minute detail, nothing left out. Audio’s can tell the tale with step by step presion.

What’s left? You taking action. Not one of them can do it for you, no matter the precived value. Read that again. Not one of them can do it for you.

Can you make money with a $1500 home study course? Yes.

Can you make money with a $17 Information Product? Yes.

Only if you ….

Everywhere you turn you see people pushing money making programs based on Google Adsense. That is creating websites and placing Adsense ads on the pages, when surfers click on those ads you are paid a commission. Simple enough right?

There’s one thing the folks selling these money making programs fail to mention, you need traffic. You need surfers to click on those text ads. No clicks, no pay. Guess it’s one of my little pet peeves.

It’s not that you can’t make money with Adsense, some owners have made large amounts, you just need to be aware, you’ve got to have some flowing traffic. You could always build many little sites with many pages, it all adding up from a little here and there.

Just trying to keep in informed, one post at a time.

Every day I see new people flocking to the net to make money, looking for the goose that laid the golden website. Most have no clue where to start, just like I did some years back. No fear, it’s really not that bad. Let’s get started..

The Very Very Bare Basics if your serious about making a real income on the Internet:

Quality Reliable Hosting - Without a doubt, the most important part of the plan. you could have the best website, the killer products and incredible copy, it’s nothing if buyers can’t get to your pages. Don’t even think about using a free hosting service, unless your looking to only earn beer money. I use Atci Hosting, they have superior support and plans to fit any ones needs or wants.

Domain Name - Your official name on the net, call it your very own piece of Internet real estate. Take your time and choose the name wisely and make sure to register it in your name with your contact information, don’t let your host register it for you. I have used Domain Name Systems for several years without a problem and superior service.

Computer - I would guess since your reading this, you already have that part covered. If you can browse the Internet, you’ve got what you need.

Software - Windows notepad. Yep, you heard me right. HTML (hyper text markup language) pages are simple files you can create in a word processor program, actually the simplier the better. Some more advanced word processor programs add un-wanted characters. Save your file as webpage.html and your good to go. For the first couple of years I was creating web-pages all I used was notepad. It’s not a bad idea to start with notepad so you learn the code and have some idea what your doing. I eventually graduated to a program called Macromedia Dreamweaver But it can be on the expensive side. The only other required software you’ll need it an ftp (file transfer protocol) program. There are quite a large number of ftp programs, the only one I’ve used and can recommend is Cute Ftp.  On a side note, if you do happen to get your hands on a copy of Dreamweaver, it comes with a built in ftp program. Kinda nice huh?
