suc·cess - [suhk-ses] –noun

1. The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted.
2. a. The gaining of fame or prosperity: an artist spoiled by success.
b. The extent of such gain.
3. One that is successful: The plan was a success.
4. Obsolete A result or an outcome.

Does’nt number 1 say it all?

Something Desired. If you desire something so strongly that you live and breathe and believe you can not fail.

Planned. If you don’t know where you are going, how are you going to get there? When you travel, you take a map along so you know how to get to your destination without getting lost. The better your map (planning), the better your chance of reaching your goal.

Attempted. All the planning in the world will not get you there alone or by itself. You have to take action or attempt to work your plan. Although “attempt” is a weak word. Taking massive focused action can produce what seem to be miracles.
