I finally joined and got to posting on the Warrior Forum yesterday. Been one of the things on my to-do list for some time now. If you’ve never been to the site, you need to. The forum is dedicated to Internet marketing and a great place to learn and get some questions answered.

Working on the net for almost 10 years now, if there was one thing that made the biggest impact on my business, it would have to be networking. Networking is just as I did yesterday, joining a useful forum related to your business, to meet and get to know other people in the business. For the longest time I was a loner, working by myself, besides an occasional meeting through email. It was’nt until I joined some related message boards and made contacts that I saw the biggest increase in my traffic and SEO rankings.

So do yourself and your business a favour, join a related forum and start growing your business today.

I’ve mentioned this recently, but every day I am reminded how bad it is.

There have been at least two major product launches in the last week or less.

What bugs me is they seem to imply that with a hefty fee, you’ll make tons of money before you know it. To sweeten the pot they imply you don’t have to do much work, or position their product as such.

Don’t fret my friend. There are literally 100’s if not thousands of 1,000’s or ways to make money online, right now.

The problem is, people buy dreams instead of taking action and build a business.

You DO NOT need a $999 website script to make money. You DO NOT  need a $1997 networking even to make money. Have you read even part of the e-books you have sitting on your hard drive? Have you applied any of the information?

This month, my hopes and dreams did not pay my house payment. They did not pay cash for the last three vehicles I purchased. Nor did they pay for my utility bills or vacations. My business paid for all of it. The business I built. Not the dreams I chased.

I was lucky enough to get a brand spanking new Video Ipod for fathers day. I could not ask for a better family.

What really impressed me about the Ipod was when I opened that new box and how cool everything was. If you want a company to follow, apple has to on the top of the list. I’m not talking about just the device itself, we all pretty much know what they look like or how they work and many people already have one.

What stood out to me was everything including the box. Just from looking at the box itself, you knew you got something special, not the same old packaging every other company uses. Everything was arranged nice and neat inside, even the cables had their own separate divided pouch. Each cable had a plastic protector on the end. The entire package was, well, cool. Oddly, even the little icon to install the software stood out among the rest of the other icons on my hard drive.

Talk about a company that does everything high class and cool. Could you learn from them?

Many people say the appearance of a website is not that important.

What if Apple believed that appearance or looking cool was’nt important?

As email marketers, the last thing we want are spam complaints. As i’ve mentioned in other posts, there will ALWAYS be people that complain your spamming them. You could have double opt-in and there will still be some folks who some how think you spammed them. There are also people that forget they even signed up for your list.

This can often happen when with give away type leads, same for co-registration with many different participants. Think about it for a minute. If your a surfer signing up for all kinds of freebies, will you remember every one of those you signed up for? I probably would’nt. I personally only sign up for offers that I am really interested. You know though, there are probably quite a few people out there, that sign up for every freebie they can get their hands on.

The same can be true for co-registration leads that come from sources that contain a large number of offers. Disected, it’s very similar to the above.

I am not saying either source should not be used, far from it. Both strategies can really build your list, just keep in mind, your spam compliant rate may go up.

Guru is so over used today, maybe I should say “Leaders” in the market.

Anyway, It amazes me just about every day, how the leaders don’t even practice what they preach. I don’t say this to put them down. I say it to impress upon you, you can be just as good, if not better than the so called leaders.

A few leaders I’ve been watching of late really surprise me. All three of them preach staying in touch with your subscribers. I completely agree with that line of thought, it really can make the difference between some income and a barrel full of money. Funny thing is, how often do you think I hear from these guys? Very rarely.

These same three leaders also tell me that the best leads are customers who have already bought products from you. Again, I agree completely, they are right on. I should be on all three of these markters customer lists, as I’ve bought at least one product from each. Two of them I have purchased multiple products from. Once more, how often do I hear from these guys? The same answer, once in a great while. There’s a good chance I would purchase more from these leaders, if I only heard from them. Their loss.

One last thing that comes to mind. The same guys say how important a proper support system is for your business and products. Right on again, could’nt agree more. But, alas, only one of the three has a on-line support ticket system. We all know e-mail is not 100% reliable, there is no doubt about it. Being such and important aspect of business would you leave it up to a system that is not 100% reliable? How much could you lose? One of these guys even mentions over and over how many times refunds can be curbed greatly with a proper and reliable support system. That is 100% correct and only makes sense to any one. Sadly this same person only uses e-mail links embedded on a web-page, even for paying customers.

I’ll say it again, these guys provide some solid ideas, not just the same old recycled junk that seems to be in the majority for information sellers.  Each one gets me saying wow, this is great stuff as I read and listen to their works. This post was not to blast any one, I will get every penny back that I have spent with them, the information will pay for itself many times over.

I only created this post to show you, you can beat the “guru’s”.  So often we look up to certian people, while they might derserve it or have earned it, often they are not as superior as we might believe. With just three examples, you could beat the leaders at their own game. As you can see, it’s often just the little things.

Little things that can make a huge difference.

There is one important fact I’ve learned over the years and that is, every time I set goals my income rises. I don’t mean setting goals in my head, we all do that, but those don’t count and usually don’t help you much. Of course, to succeed, you do need to focus and believe 100% that what your doing will not only work, but succeed fabulously.

In your head does’nt cut it though. You need some action steps. One of the first and most important is committing to your goals. Taking what’s floating in your brain and getting it down on paper, thats when your getting serious and not just dreaming, hoping or wishing. i can tell you for a fact, this step alone does work and has worked for me several times. Although it’s really one of the easy steps, for some odd reason it’s often the most difficult, we usually tend to put it off, many times because of fear or doubt.

Want to step it up a few notches? Read your goals aloud to yourself everyday. Read it with passion and 100% belief. It’s the only way, half hope, any doubts, your wasting your time.

The last step?

Take massive focused action.

Seems easy does’nt it? Making an full time income is really not as difficult as people make it. We as humans tend to make things more than they really are. It’s possible that not everything you do will work, thats part of the process. It took Edison over 10,000 attempts before the light bulb was invented. Those first 9,999 tries were not failures, they were proof of what did’nt work.

How many times will you try? Do you have your pen and paper out yet?

Once again it seems there is yet another round of high ticket money making products being pushed by every one. I’ve been working on the internet since 1998, I’ve seen so many things, but I have yet to find a way of making money for doing nothing. I get so tired of all the marketers trying to sell the masses on making it big without doing anything, and usually paying a big price for the secret.

No matter how it’s spelled out, explained or presented, there is and always will be one major factor lacking in any incoming producing product. There can be video’s explaining everything in complete, minute detail, nothing left out. Audio’s can tell the tale with step by step presion.

What’s left? You taking action. Not one of them can do it for you, no matter the precived value. Read that again. Not one of them can do it for you.

Can you make money with a $1500 home study course? Yes.

Can you make money with a $17 Information Product? Yes.

Only if you ….

Recently, on one of the forums I read, one of the members who builds lists,  posted a question that got me to thinking. She had what she thought was a problem with spam complaints. In reality it was a very low number. There are always going to be people that are just well, pissed off at life. Think we’ve all been there at some time in our lives.  No matter how well you run your business, there will always be certain people who will never be pleased or happy. Thats life, let them go and move on.

I am by no means a list building expert, but the first thought that came to my mind was, did she create an impression? If your reading this, I am guessing you are on at least one list, if not many. Is it not true that there are certain marketers that have created an impression, that you not only know who they are, but even look forward to their e-mails? Then again there are yet others that you have to scratch your head and wonder why they are sending you e-mails?

There’s the problem. The solution?

From my own take. The marketers that created an impression on me, have been those that added personality to their marketing. Not just personality, there has to be more, I don’t know about you, but I’m not looking to buy personality, I have my own. These marketers also provide valuable and usable content. They did’nt give away the store, but they did give me something I could use.

Will your subscribers remember you?

Next time you go to copy and paste a pre-made affiliate auto-responder message, maybe you’ll stop and create your own impression?
