If your like me, your no graphics designer and you did’nt take any fancy graphics classes. For folks like me we need all the help we can get. One important aspect of creating a professional website is matching or similar colors on your site. A tool I’ve found to be very helpful is Color Scheme Generator 2 . Not only do you get four matching colors, but it’s easy to use, with the colors number dispalyed by each color so you can simply just copy and paste.

Do you really want to make money on the Internet? Are you really serious?

But of course!” you say.

If every one wants to cash in so bad, why the heck are so many of you using free web hosting? To save some money? With hosting prices so low, if you don’t want to pay $10 a month for hosting your website, sorry, your not serious enough.

If you tell me you can’t afford to pay for web hosting, I say again, your not serious enough. Skip the burger joint once a month and get serious.

To sell your products or services, buyers have to trust you and believe you. How are they going to take you seriously if your using a free hosting service and your url is 5o miles long? Believe me many of them will know.

Getting started on the web is one of the least expensive businesses you can start, so why be cheap?

Well besides for bragging rights, it sure does’nt mean your website is popular.

When Google first introduced their now defunct Page Rank, there was finally a visual record that your website was on the map, you were somebody. The mere number indicated just how good your site was, basically the higher the PR, the more traffic.

Sadly it now means very little, besides showing your site is in google somewhere. What happened? I don’t think any one officially knows for sure, but I have a very good guess. Too many people once again tried to cheat the system. Inflating their Google PR through, usually, unethical means. Another good tool down the drain.

What does this have to do with anything? Don’t use Google PR as a judge of another websites traffic potential, as when looking for link trades.

How do I know for sure it does’nt mean anything? I’ve seen far too many PR 2 websites with more traffic than a PR 5, just as an example.

So the next time some one wants to trade links with you and all they talk about is their wonderful Google PR, well, you’ll know better. Your on the track.

Another quick and easy idea for making money today.

Some years back I worked part time at a vacuum repair store, yes I repaired cleaners. It sure was’nt a glamorous job, but it was work and the owner was a great guy.

But there was another guy that got me to thinking. This guy would come around every so often, I think about once a week and wash the stores windows inside and out. He did’nt charge much, but it also did not take him long. With a spray bottle and a squeegee he was done in no time.

What would you need? A spray bottle with cleaner, a squeegee and some towels?  Lots of profit there if you ask me. And I believe the best businesses would be the small ones, with only an owner or few workers, they most likely don’t have time or don’t want to wash the windows. But they all want their places to look nice. Sell them on how nice their places will look with squeaky clean windows.

As always, I just give you the bare idea, it’s up to you to develop it.

I’d tell you about the vacuum repair business, but it would’nt fall in the category of quick money. If I could even remember.

If you’ve got a blog, it’s like any other website. You want surfers to remember your site and come back. The best way is to get them back is to have them bookmark your site. With a blog it can get even better, you persuade them to add your feed. You’ve probably seen those little icons like “add to google” or “my yahoo”. Those little graphics are referred to as chicklet. See, it even has a cute name.. aawww

A great tool I found is the Chicklet Creator and it does the work for you. You simply add your blog title, blog url and blog feed url, a few clicks and you have copy and paste code. Put it in your blog and your ready to go. There is no need to even download all the little graphics, but I personally do and host them myself. If you host the images yourself, you don’t have to worry about any of those sites bogging down and slowing your site down, waiting for the image to load.

And the chicklets make your site look so shiny, new and hip, even on the Web 2.0 side.
