In my 10+ years of scratching out an income online, there is one thing I’ve noticed about inspiring entrepreneurs from day one and I see it practically every day.

It’s always the same… they don’t take action and get started.

I can’t blame them really, it can be a very daunting task. You need a website, you need to learn how to make money, you need to know how to sell.

There are all kinds of excuses.

Yes I said excuses.

Oh I know, I’ve made plenty of my own, of course most were just in my own mind. My own self-defeating thoughts.

The thing is, it’s not that difficult to get started. Hence, the reason for this post.

There is actually a very way to get started. They are called PLR Websites.

Everything has already been done for you. You have a full fledged website or blog, no learning html or web design. You have products to sell and the ads and sales content is already done for you. Money in the bank.

Literally with in minutes your up and running.

Sorry, you have no more valid excuses anymore. The only thing left is for you to take enough action and get your own site.

You’ll thank me when your checks start hitting your mailbox.

The last couple of weeks, actually the last month or so, we’ve lost some incredible people. Of course every one is important, whether they are a famous or the average guy getting by in life.

There is no doubt Michael Jackson touched many peoples lives. He was an man with incredible talent, no one can deny. I don’t care how different he was, how odd he might have acted. He brighten many peoples lives with his music and I’m sure he made many a person happy just to see and hear his music. Does anything else matter?

Along with so many other great losses recently, such as Ed Mcmann, Farrah Faccet and of course funny man Bernie Mac, there is one other great that has pasted on, and that is Billy Mays.

Billy might not have topped the charts with billboard hits or made the nation laugh, and I doubt he would have made a top selling poster you’d hang on your bedroom wall. Even still he was more than a credit to his profession, that being, the number one pitchman of all time.

I have a feeling his status as the top sales person will stay on the books forever.

I was watching the Discovery Channel’s show, Pitchmen and it really hit home as to just how good Billy was. He was more than just a sales guy, he was, or should I say is, a American Icon.

Sure, he could be called abbrasive, loud and intrusive, but again, does it really matter? He was the best because he put his heart and soul into it. He gave it his all. Not only did he have a passion for each and every product he pitched, he lived and breathed life into everything he sold.

Billy we will miss you, you had so much more to teach us.

If there ever was a endless niche, I think you’d agree that weight loss would be at the top of the list, if not the number one “problem”. It’s another profitable niche because it is a problem for many. The statistics prove that americans for one are an ever increasing obese nation.

Who doesn’t want to lose a few pounds? I know I do and I’m a guy. Women are even more sensative to the love handles. Well, guess they don’t use the same words, but you get my point. In the end it’s a problem people want to solve.

This is also one of those niches that is so big that it’s very possible to make big bucks with a sub set of the main market. Just think Diets, Surgery, Pills, Programs and the list goes on. You could easily build sub-niche blogs or lists for a wide range off the main key phrase.

An easy way to get started is to grab yourself some Weight Loss PLR Articles. You could rewrite them, add content or just get ideas on what to write. At the very least it’s a start place.

While it can be heartbreaking and sad for those suffering from mesothelioma, they often need help as medical expenses can lead to financial ruin.

There are a number of ways they may get help and naturally the form of help is often a lawyer or some sort of legal action. I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials, which can help your marketing efforts because it has people thinking.

The good news is you can earn some big dollars helping them. As of this writing the Est Avg CPC from Google for mesothelioma is over $20, a number are over $30.

While it might take some work to break in the market when it comes to search engine ranks, but still possible, there are plenty of different ways to reach the market.

First and foremost would be to submit articles to article directories that have revshare when it comes to adsense clicks, you receiving a percentage of the revenue. You could also build a list from the bio box in your articles.

A properly written article could also make a descent rank in the social bookmarking scene if done right or plays on emotions.

If you need idea’s on what to write, or if you want to take the quick and easy way, with some articles you could rewrite, check out these Mesothelioma PLR Articles.

I’m sure it comes as no surprise that credit repair is a hot niche when it comes to people searching the net. There will always be folks with bad credit, probably till the end of time. There might be a day when currency is not dollars, but I don’t see that day coming any time soon.

As of this writing, Google Estimates over 450,00 month searches for the key phrase. That’s just for the main phrase, “Credit Repair”, just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. I can’t imagine the combination of all the other related or long tail’s.

For marketers this is a perfect, solve my problem, often a problem that needs to be solved now! These people know how important a good credit score is to lenders, banks, loan officers and a whole slew of places that base much on the number.

The possibilities are really endless. Articles could be submitted to article directories, compiled into reports and ebooks. They could be used as content for a mailing list and so on. Build a list and sell then over and over.

Not to mention how many services there are to sell to these less than worthy folks. From credit repair to on going services such as credit reports and more.

It’s a huge market and a highly profitable niche, so get your share today!

If your not a writer or don’t know where to start, check out these Credit Repair PLR Articles to get you on track.

I sure have been talking alot about Twitter lately, guess I am in the Buzz myself?

I don’t follow my followers as much as I should, but do check out the updates when I can. One of the reasons I don’t, besides the time sucking factor, is because of all the noise.

Granted the idea is to let every one know what your doing at a given point in time, I understand and accept that, but to be honest, I really don’t care who is the latest person to follow you. Am I the only one? I mean really, who cares?

I believe it was today when I hit my home page and it was almost totally filled just with users welcoming their new followers. Why? Where is the value in that? I’d rather hear what you had for Christmas dinner.

Granted, I’ve seen some great tweats, but far to many people are just creating noise. Once again, I don’t care who your latest follower is.

Am I missing something?

We all know how hot Twitter is right now, so hot in fact that people will follow anyone and anything.

It never ceases to amaze me, how many followers I get (they are following me in hopes I’ll follow them), that have no updates and no profile.

Now, I realize, many folks just want to build a following, so they take on every new comer, often on automatic. It’s almost like it’s a game or a status symbol. I can understand that.

Though I don’t understand why I should or why I would want to follow some one with nothing? No tweets, no profile, no follow. Why would I? There is nothing to follow!

Well unless I want a bigger number on my own Twitter profile. Guess I am odd, there needs to be something in the pot, before I dig in.

If you want a long list of followers, give them something to follow. Just might make a difference.

So the kids and I are at the local Hastings, I knew they wouldn’t leave me alone till they could spend their Christmas money. Almost as bad as Christmas eve! If you’ve never heard of Hastings, they are a bookstore slash electronics, music and video store, little of everything.

While the kids are quickly eliminating the balances of their gift cards, I’m browsing the magazine racks for something to peak my interest. I naturally pass by the computer magazines, geek time, then it hits me. I’ve seen them before, but never thought about it.

I’m talking about those computer magazines that come with a CD attached firmly to the cover. I don’t know if you’ve seen these, but they go for like $15 a pop! The magazine would usually set you back about 5 bucks, but since they come married with a CD full of related software, they up the ante.

Think about that for a minute, triple the price by adding a CD that probably has a net cost to the company of a quarter, if that. Not a bad profit increase if you ask me. Sure the CD comes with software, but I can almost bet it’s either shareware or begotten free from software companies looking to grab new customers.

What could you add to your product(s) to increase the price? Maybe a low cost addition that could double or triple your selling price?

If your looking for ideas, check out my Warrior Special Offer, it comes with “Profits Multiplied”, over 50 ways to double and triple the value and price of your products.

The magazines are doing it, why not you?

Big milestone today, actually I think it was yesterday, I finally peaked over the Twitter limit of 2,000. It took me a while, but I also did not hit it as hard as some Twitter users do.

One thing I did notice, as I took it a little slower than most, I also gained more followers, than I was following, helps to get over the limit.

I am still yet to be convinced that Twitter is a good sales tool. Seems to me it’s more of a relationship builder, as I’ve noticed low results when trying to outright sell something. I’ve had better luck getting followers to read my blog posts.

Any one else find it a selling tool? I’ve heard stories of it bringing in some sales, but I’m not hooked yet.

The last question.. are you over the 2,000 hump?

Some time back I signed up with Qwitter, the service that alerts you when a follower stops following you. Thing is, I can’t remember the last time I received an alert.

Did Quitter quit on me?

Any one else notice the lack of alerts?

Course, to be honest, I find it easier just to go through my list where I can see who’s following me just as easy, so not like I’ve really missed the service.

Everyone wants to make money fast on the internet, nothing new there. While many people will tell you that it takes time to build an income working on the net, there are still are some great ways to make money pretty fast.

Check this out: Firesale PLR . This low cost product comes with everything you need to have your very own product up and selling for you in minutes. It comes with the salesletter (most difficult part of internet marketing for most people), also comes with thank you page and some quality graphics. Since it’s PLR you can do what every you want with it and that’s the beauty.

With just a few simple changes, such as adding your name as author, uploading the files and your pretty much ready to sell. Just send traffic and your making money, just about on auto pilot!

Of course the above link was just one example, there are so many PLR products. What if you had 10 or 20 of these up and selling for you?

Another idea would to submit these product to places such as Clickbank and have many others selling it for you.

The other day I talked about using free hosted services such as blogs and I’m not done yet. I mentioned that it’s hard to take any one seriously when they are using free services, least it is for me.

Today some one followed me on Twitter, who touted themselves as a Success Coach, who teaches Internet secrets to grow ones MLM business. They could very well be and do all of the above, but I had a little trouble believing it when i found out their web site was  a Myspace page. Myspace has it’s uses, but not as your business home on the web.

Think about it, would you pay some one to be your success coach, when it seems their biggest success is making a Myspace Page? What kinds of internet secrets will you learn? How to add stuff to your glitterized  MySpace page?

Yes I am being a jerk.. come on people! Do you really expect anyone to take you serious and want to do business with you when you can’t even fork over measly $10 a month and make your own web site? Would you hire a lawyer who set up shop under the local underpass tunnel? Of course you wouldn’t.

Spend some money on your business, you’ll be happy you did.

I promise my next post will be more positive :)

I am really amazed at how many people put so much of their time and work on a free hosted service, mainly free hosted blogging services, such as Blogger and Worpdress.

Well, you know my experience with Wordpress (no hard feelings).

I am not saying these services do not have their uses. I will be the first one to say Blogger blogs have sent me traffic and I know they are a boost when it comes to link backs. They do come in handy.

Problem is, you put in all this work into your free hosted blog, slaving over the content to get it just right, building up readership, and one day… it’s gone. For some reason, doesn’t really matter, they decided your blog needed to be deleted. Believe you me, it happens.

Perfect example: I was on MyBlogLog account, working on adding friends. Before I add a friend, I always like to check out their sites, see what they are about and more importantly, to see they are in the same type of business. I stopped by one marketers site today and clicked on the first site is his list, happened to be a blogger blog of his, and what did I get?

“Blogger: Blog not found”

i have no idea why and it really doesn’t matter, it was gone and actually anyone could now register the blog. From what I saw, it looked like he put some work into it, a shame really.

For me it also comes down to business. Maybe I’m odd, but I find it hard to take any one seriously, when they’re using free hosted anything. I’m not trying to be rude, but if some one can’t put up a few bucks for hosting, how serious can they be about their business? I realize many people are on a tight budget, been there many times myself, but I don’t personally buy the excuse.

These days hosting is dirt cheap, so much so, any one can afford it. Honestly if some one can not scrap up a few bucks a month, they probably shouldn’t be online in the first place. Seriously, it takes money to make money, yes… even on the Internet.

By all means, use the free services for getting traffic and link backs, but it doesn’t make much sense to trust your important business content on a blog that could be gone tomorrow. Right?

Okay, enough of my ranting today. I’m sure I’ll think of something else to rant about tomorrow..:)

wordpress Found out the other day, three of my Wordpress-Hosting blogs were suspended. I believe it was because they were too promotional. I am not upset with the service, it’s their service and their rules. They sure provide a great service and make some incredible free blogging software. I think I’d also say my hats off to them for creating a space, that is not all marketing, all the time.

I thought I posted some good content, with only 2-3 links per post. I am guessing my RSS feed in the side bar for my store was a little too much. I see many other blogs that have links, so can’t see how my lnks were the reason for my penalty. I’ve heard rumors, they did not like marketing, guess I proved the rumor.

Anyways, here’s another chance to learn from me, how I learned the hard way and avoid the mistakes I make. This is also very important to show, never put your important work anywhere that you do not have total control, it could all disappear into cyber space at any time.

Second lesson would be, don’t over market all the time. Some times just getting a link is all you can get, and that’s often good enough.

So, did you learn anything?

Any one else get their Worpdress blogs knocked off the net?

Buzz MarketingI ran across a blog post on another site that got me to thinking and was something I needed to post about.

The post talked about buzz marketing, but really should have been title differently, as it was not on spot, least in my opinion, hang with me a second here…

The whole deal was that he started a buzz group, not totally a bad idea. Obviously the group was going to be a place were members could vote, digg, stumble other members stories. I’m not saying this is a totally bad idea, it does have some merit and will probably bring “some” traffic to the members web properties.

But this is not really Buzz Marketing.

To get real buzz, your story has to be buzz worthy in the first place. If the story sucks, it doesn’t matter how many diggs or stumbles it gets, its not going to bring in the holy mother of traffic. The story is the big key to real success or failure.

As I said, I am not putting down the idea, it would be useful and the person was taking action, can’t knock that.

So when your looking for a shot at the big time and real Buzz Marketing, start with the story first, then get some help getting it out there.

twitterOkay, it’s not my case study, but something I found very interesting.

I’ve been a fan of buzz marketing for some time, the problem is, to create something that is Buzz Worthy or one that really gets attention is not something that can be created by following s a few steps. Not to mention, many end up becoming complete flops. I believe timing also plays a big part in the success or lack of.

Anyways..

Since I’ve been putting some real effort into my Twitter marketing (getting more followers), I was witness to some recent real-time buzz marketing. A user by the name of “thebusybrain” posted to his blog how he was able to get 600 new Twitter followers in less than 24 hours.

Talk about getting some attention, though it was mostly negative, as most did not agree with his method. Then again, as they say, any press is good press? As you can see on the blog, he received quite a few comments, good or bad, he sure created a buzz. I doubt it was intentional or planned, just worked out that way.

Just thought it was a prime example of Buzz Marketing. Something you might want to add to your collection of case studies. You do have a collection right?

And don’t forget to follow me! http://twitter.com/RonKillian

I’m no economist, so I am sure some one will correct me, but hears my thoughts…

Seems lately so many marketers are preying on the fears of a bad economy, it’s like all I see lately. Not the normal, it’s bad times, it’s like the economy is going to completely collapse any day now and we’ll all be a deep pit of dispare.

I understand it’s marketing, maybe I should embrace it more myself, but I really don’t want to, for a good reason.

I’m not going to say times are great and it’s all a big hoax, but honestly, what actually fuel’s the fire, the fire of every one thinking we’re all screwed right now?

First in line is the media, as most of their stories are on the negative side and they have to add even more despair and dread. Sadly it’s what gets and keeps people watching. Why do we feed off negativity?

Second comes the marketers, using the media negative reporting, adding even more despair to really twist the prospects fear gland. To bad it wasn’t a gland, some that could be removed.

It’s not like millions of dollars mysteriously disappeared from the economy. Sure folks have had to pay more for gas, and gas prices have increased other products, and money has moved around some, but it’s not the end of the world.

The money is still out there and believe it or not, people are still spending.

The big reason I bring this up is the fact that when we start “believing” our sales will decrease or our business might suffer, there’s a good chance it will do just that.

twitterOkay, I’ve had a Twitter account for some time, can’t remember how long actually. I tweeted a few times here and there, but nothing big. I never saw much value in it, or any return. Also in the back of my mind I was thinking, “This might not be a good thing, I get distracted enough as it is”.

Recently, I’ve changed my mind. I should say, I’m going to give it some effort. In talking to a fellow IM’er and noticing what others are saying about Twitter, It seems I never gave it much of a chance. I also learned, it can bring in some traffic and create some sales. That’s enough to get me to take a second look…
